ZOHA DESIGN STUDIO

Who is Zoha?

I've been drawn to art and design since I was a child, experimenting with everything from sculpting and mosaic art to painting, digital media, and embroidery. Each of these mediums taught me something new and helped me develop a well-rounded perspective on design, blending traditional techniques with modern approaches. My journey into graphic design began in high school when I joined the yearbook class, and that spark turned into a full-on passion. Over the years, I taught myself more about design, eventually deciding to pursue it formally in college.

I first began my journey into graphic design when I got involved with my schools yearbook and merchandise design, and it quickly turned into something I couldn’t get enough of. Over time, I taught myself more about design, refining my skills and diving deeper into the theory behind it. When the pandemic hit, I took the leap into freelancing, and it was a game-changer for me. The challenges and freedom of working independently pushed me to grow faster than I expected, and it solidified my love for graphic design in ways I hadn't anticipated.

As a person of color, I bring a unique perspective to my work. My background and experiences shape how I approach design, allowing me to create work that is both authentic and culturally resonant. I believe in the power of design to connect with people on a deeper level, and I aim to bring that into every project I take on.

One area of design that excites me most is brand design. I love the idea of being involved in every aspect of a brand’s identity, from the logo to the overall visual language. It’s such a rewarding process to help a brand find its voice and translate it into something tangible. There’s something special about crafting a brand from the ground up, watching all the pieces come together in a way that tells a cohesive story. This passion for brand design comes from my background in multiple creative mediums, which has taught me how different elements can weave together to create a unified, impactful design. Whether it's digital design, traditional art, or even something as tactile as embroidery, I believe all forms of creativity play a role in making something truly great. And that’s what keeps me inspired—using everything I’ve learned and continue to learn to shape stories that matter.
